We deliver nationwide across New Zealand. Delivery timeframes and costs vary by location:
- Auckland: $5 flat rate
- Wider North Island: $10 flat rate
- South Island: $15 flat rate
Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 business days. We offer next-day delivery to Auckland Central for orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday.
Delivery typically takes 1–3 business days after dispatch, depending on your location. During busy periods, delivery times may vary.
Yes. If you’re placing a larger order or need deliveries sent to multiple locations, get in touch and we can help organise this for you.

Yes. Complimentary gift notes can be included with your order — simply add your message at checkout in the notes section.
Yes. Gift wrapping is available for $5 and can be added at checkout.
Yes. We offer e-gift cards, sent straight to your inbox, as well as physical gift cards available in store.
Yes. We offer business, bulk and multi-delivery orders, including one-off and recurring deliveries. For tailored selections or larger orders, please contact us directly or visit Business & Bulk Orders.
Yes. We can assist with private tastings and events at your home or workplace. We offer hosted tasting sessions and can provide glassware for up to 50 people. Availability and pricing vary depending on numbers and wines selected, so please get in touch to discuss your needs.
We accept major credit cards and other payment methods available at checkout. For approved business customers, invoicing may be available — please contact us at hello@bythebottle.co.nz to discuss.
If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to make it right. Returns are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. We ship nationwide. As long as you have a valid New Zealand delivery address, we can send your order there.
Yes. All alcohol deliveries require a signature. If the person receiving the order appears under 25, valid photo ID may be requested to confirm they are over 18.
Yes, provided the person accepting the delivery is over 18 and able to present valid ID if requested.
If no one is available to receive the delivery, or valid ID cannot be produced when requested, the courier will be unable to complete delivery and the order may need to be re-scheduled or returned.
