Tolaini Rosso LEGIT 2018

$62.00

The fella on the label is the jazz artist Thelonious Monk, a man who's referred to as the genius of modern music and the epitome of jazz. The photo graced the cover of his 1961 live album that was recorded in Italy. His originality and eternal hipness is the inspiration behind this wine. Cabernet Sauvignon isn't traditionally grown in Italy, but this opulent Cab is a tribute to Monk's originality. The wine is fruitful, powerful with an unmistakably savoury Italian edge.

Set in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the warm, south eastern corner of Chianti, Pier Luigi Tolaini purchased this estate in 2002. Since then, he and his team have expanded the vineyards to 50 hectares, and gained full organic certification.
