Late bottled vintage port offers the best of both worlds. It’s made from a single, high quality year like a classic vintage port, but it’s then aged in barrel for 4 to 6 years, making it rounder and more ready to drink. From the excellent 2018 vintage, this one is rich and warming. With dark fruit, violet and dark chocolate aromatics, the palate is full-bodied with fine tannins, depth and complexity. A blend of traditional varieties grown on the estate's steep schist terraces, fruit was fermented in traditional lagares before fortification, followed by aging in large oak vats for four years.

Quinta da Romaneira is one of the Douro Valley's great historic estates, with records dating back to the eighteenth century and vineyard holdings stretching across more than 400 hectares in the heart of the Cima Corgo. Acquired and revitalised in the early 2000s by Christian Seely and partners, the estate has become a benchmark producer of both Port and table wines under the direction of winemaker António Agrellos.
