Textural but bone dry, flavours of citrus and stone fruit are generous here. There’s a touch of wet stone-like minerality and a fresh finish. We can see most white wine drinkers around your table digging this. Fruit is sourced from the organic Wrekin vineyard, fermented with wild yeast and aged for 9 months on lees.
The Southern Valley’s of Marlborough is an exciting part of the world for wine, and Mike and Anna Paterson of Corofin are tapped right into it. Sourcing fruit from certified organic vineyards, they use their knowledge and experience of the region to produce outstanding wines; Chardonnay and Pinot Noir under their Corofin label, and Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc under their Meltwater label.
