Nebbiolo is difficult to grow, expensive to farm, and produced in relatively small quantities, and all that tends to come at a price. So we were stoked to find this at such good value. Its aromas are shy at first, but open up (we’d always suggest decanting Nebbiolo), with red berried fruits, florals and subtle spice. It’s got the dry structure you’d expect of the variety, with freshness and a nice approachability. 

Marchese Dalmasso is a contemporary wine project created to celebrate the great wine regions of Piedmont in Italy's north, from Langhe Nebbiolo and Barolo to Barbaresco and Gavi. Particular emphasis is placed on regional identity, traditional grape varieties and the distinctive terroirs that have made Piedmont one of Italy's most celebrated wine regions.
