Jasci & Marchesani Pecorino d'Abruzzo 2024
Superb drinking here - with it's gentle aromatics of citrus and fennel, and fresh, dry palate. All in all it has a sense of ease that we loved. And yes, Pecorino is indeed an Italian sheep's cheese, but it's also a native Italian grape variety, grown mainly in Abuzzo on the east coast of Italy. It's well worth introducing yourself to.
The family behind this estate have been growing things as market gardeners for yonks, and in more recent history have focused on organically tending vines and fruit trees. Jasci & Marchesani are a husband and wife team who have been dedicated to organic farming since the 1960s. Their children and children’s partners are now involved, and all are committed to the production of these excellent value wines grown in the Marche on Italy’s east coast.
