I Vigneri Aurora Etna Bianco 2024
What we'd call a 'classic' example of Etna Bianco, and an excellent one at that. Racy, lean, mineral with green apple, almond and sea spray aromatics, this is well composed and compelling. It's produced from Carricante grown on the south eastern side of Mount Etna.
I Vigneri is the soulful, considered and dedicated pursuit of Salvo Foti, and his sons. This oenologist and winemaker is instrumental in the recent renaissance of the wines of Mount Etna. There’s a very close relationship with the land, and a commitment to ensuring local people and craft are integral. The 7 hectares of close-planted bush vines are grown around the mountain, at varied altitudes from 500 to 1300 metres above sea level. It has become one of the most iconic and formative producers in this very exciting wine region.
