Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
This bold Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made from estate-grown fruit, with the Yountville vineyard forming the core of the blend, supported by select parcels from Rutherford and Calistoga. It’s dark and structured, with concentrated black fruit layered over notes of dried herbs, graphite, and warm spice. Aged for 20 months in French oak, it’s richly textured yet finely balanced, showing depth, polish, and impressive aging potential.
Founded in 1977 by Napa legend Mike Grgich, the winemaker behind the iconic 1973 Chardonnay that won the Judgment of Paris, Grgich Hills Estate remains family-run in Rutherford, now helmed by daughter Violet and nephew Ivo Jeramaz. Their philosophy centres on organic, regenerative viticulture across five estate vineyards, wild-yeast fermentations, and low-intervention winemaking. The result is consistently refined wines that showcase cool-climate freshness, balanced structure, and a genuine sense of place.
