Delinquente Screaming Betty Vermentino 2020
If your idea of summer drinking has progressed past Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris, but you crave dry, refreshing whites, look no further than Vermentino. Mostly grown in Southern Italy and Sardenia, this quenching variety thrives in hot climates. So it’s a natural choice for the Riverland region, along the South Australian stretch of the Murray, which is where Delinquente are based.
The Delinquente team aim to ‘buck the trend, break rules and do things our own way’, as their name cheekily suggests. And in a sea of Aussie Shiraz and Cabernet they stay true to this, choosing to focus on heat-loving Southern Italian varieties, grown organically and made with minimal intervention.
