A vibrant style of Sicily’s most planted and well known red grape variety. It’s forward in ripe red berried fruits, with medium body that’s crunchy and fresh, with a nice chew on the finish. From the hills surrounding Sambuca di Sicilia, in south-western Sicily, the vineyards benefit from warm Mediterranean days, and cooling influences from nearby Lake Arancio. Well-drained clay soils that help retain moisture through the island's hot summers. 

Cantina Cellaro is based in Sambuca di Sicilia, a historic wine-growing area in western Sicily between Monte Genuardo and Lake Arancio. Established as part of the Fantini Wine Group, the winery works with local vineyards to showcase indigenous Sicilian varieties, particularly Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Nerello Mascalese.
