Bellavista Alma Grande Cuvée Brut Franciacorta NV
The prestigious, sophisticated, side of Italian sparkling, ditch the Prosecco and try this celebrated Champagne alternative. With flavours of lemon zest, crunchy pear and almond, this has some weight and creamy texture, fine mousse and a fresh, mineral structure. Franciacorta is the region in Lombardy synonymous with producing Champagne-method sparkling wine in Italy. The Alma cuvée is predominantly Chardonnay with a little Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. The base wine is aged in french oak for 7 months, before aging in bottle on lees for a further 2 and a half years.
Established in 1977 by Vittorio Moretti, Bellavista have become the benchmark for premium Italian fizz. Fruit from 147 different organic vineyards in Lombardy are crafted into these excellent wines using traditional Champagne techiniques.
