The Wrekin Vineyard Libby's Block Chenin Blanc 2022

$48.00

The kind of sophisticated drink that will get around the table, keeping even your fussiest mates happy. It's dry and citrusy, with lovely a concentration of appley fruit, a touch of wet stone minerality and a little textural weight in the palate. We'd say this is among this country's best Chenin Blancs.

Dedicated to growing high quality, organic Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc, Jan and Andrew Johns started planting vines at the top of the Brancott Valley, Marlborough in 2002. Now with 17 hectares planted, The Wrekin is a family affair, with daughter Anna and her partner Andy returning from overseas to work at the estate. The fruit goes into the hands of some of the region's most exciting producers, like Ashleigh Barrowman and Deep Down.  But the small quantities of wine produced under the family’s own Wrekin label are made by Hätsch Kalberer (formerly of Fromm) and Margaux Demalle.
