That pop of green on the label speaks for this Pinot Gris nicely. It’s a bright, vibrant (and delicious) glass of wine. It’s forward in fruit, nashi pear and guava, and florals. There’s generosity in the texture and the palate is all tightened with that alpine Central Otago freshness. The fruit comes from a cool site in Lowburn, and is gently pressed, fermented with indigenous yeast, and aged in large, old oak for 5 months. A smaller portion of fruit was fermented on skins for 2 weeks and blended in.
