Maison Maenad Réveil Spectral Côtes du Jura 2022

$180.00

Réveil Spectral is made from Savagnin grown over clay and limestone in the hills below Grusse. Organically farmed and hand-harvested, the fruit is pressed directly into old barrels and aged for three years, developing layers of flavour and depth. Electric acidity gives it energy and structure, while aging brings calm, clarity, and a long finish.

Maison Maenad is the Jura project of Katie Worobeck, whose fascination with small-scale farming and hospitality led her naturally into winemaking. Based in the deep south of the Jura near Grusse, she farms just over three hectares of geologically varied vineyards, working regeneratively with a strong focus on soil health. Savagnin sits at the heart of the project for its resilience, natural acidity, and versatility, alongside Chardonnay and Poulsard. In the cellar, the approach is patient and hands-off: whole-cluster pressing, natural fermentations, long élevage, and wines released only when they feel ready. The result is a deeply personal project rooted in place and independence, producing wines with tension, clarity, and quiet depth.
