Neudorf Tom’s Block Pinot Noir 2023
What we love about this Pinot is its tension. There’s pretty, fragrant fruit layered over tones of undergrowth and pink pepper, but it's the energetic line of fine tannin that grabbed us most. Tom’s Block sits right next door to the Neudorf Home block. Both are certified organic, and both express the famed, deep clay Moutere soils. This wine is dry grown, fermented with wild yeast, unfined and unfiltered.
Highly respected pioneers of New Zealand’s modern wine industry, Tim and Judy Finn of Neudorf first planted grapes on the clay soils of Nelson’s Moutere Hills in 1978. Their wines have become internationally recognised as some of New Zealand’s best. Neudorf’s continued commitment to making outstanding wine with the utmost respect to their environment is now safely in the hands of daughter Rosie and winemaker Todd Stevens. Excellence continues.
