Brewed inside Westmalle Abbey since 1856, this Trappist classic sets the standard for Belgian Dubbel. Deep reddish-brown in colour, it’s rich yet balanced, with dark fruit, cocoa, and spice all in play, finishing dry and refreshingly bitter.
Westmalle is one of only a handful of authentic Trappist breweries in the world, where brewing is overseen by monks and profits support monastic life and charitable work. Known for their patience and precision, the monks take their time—Westmalle beers are brewed slowly, fermented twice, and bottle-conditioned for extra complexity.
