Stoneweaver Chardonnay 2020

$27.00

Stoneweaver might be a new release, but it’s got all the wine growing knowhow of the Allan family of Huia behind it. So we weren't surprised, just bloody impressed, when we tasted this delicious, generous, organic Chardonnay. Fruit from the Omaka Valley is fermented with natural yeast, and aged in large and small format oak with spontaneous malolactic fermentation. It has satisfying savoury richness, that’s kept in check with balanced freshness. We’d suggest there are few better value Kiwi Chardonnays around.

Clare and Mike Allan at Huia are Marlborough’s original cool kids and truly passionate wine growers. They’re committed to working in harmony with their environment, using organic and biodynamic practices. Having started planting at their Wairau Valley site in the early ‘90’s, vine age adds to the complexity and balance of the excellent wines they produce.
