We could see Martinborough immediately in this wine, with its fine, savoury structure and suggestion of autumn leaves in the aromatics. This is all met with beautiful fruit purity - plum and cherry. It’s so elegant and fine, but built to last. Hand harvest fruit was sorted and destemmed. After wild yeast fermentation with occasional hand plunging the wine was pressed to 300 and 500 litre barrels for 12 months of ageing.
