A light, dry and citrusy white from Provence, this has a sense of ease, that doesn't ask too much of you. It's made from Rolle, otherwise known as Vermentino, a grape that's favoured in warm conditions across the mediterranean.
Nestled in the foothills of the Massif des Maures, Chateau Peyrassol is set within the Commanderie de Peyrassol, a 900 hectare Provence estate established in the 13th century. 95 hectares of the historic property are planted to vines and attained full organic certification in 2022. The owner, Philippe Austruy is clearly a wealthy dude, having acquired and reinvigorated other wine estates in Bordeaux, Portugal and Tuscany.
