The first release of Folium Chardonnay, and it's bangin. There's vibrancy, precision and mineral drive here. But it's got beautiful palate weight too, densely packed with stone-fruit and citrus. We look forward to trying this in a few years, it will age superbly.

Takaki Okada farms 8 hectares in the Brancott Valley in Marlborough, focusing on Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot noir. Vines are grown without irrigation, encouraging deep root systems, and Takaki is committed to organic farming. Folium is a thoughtful, soulful pursuit, and the outcome is outstanding.
