This has all the things we love of Provence Rosé - an understated fruit profile, quenching freshness, dryness and that slight suggestion of sea spray. Elevating this above the run of mill however, is a gentle softness in texture and greater concentration in the palate. It's a class act, made from the usual suspects in that part of the world - Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan and Mourvèdre.
As picturesque as you’d expect of Provence, Clos des l’Ours is a 15 hectare estate enclosed by woodlands near the village of Cotignac. The Broton family took over the existing vineyard, with vines up to 100 years old, in 2012. They have continued and deepened the commitment to organic and biodynamic practices.
