The Baladin story began in 1996, when Teo Musso opened a small brewpub in the Piedmont village of Piozzo. It soon became a cornerstone of Italy’s emerging craft beer culture. Musso built the brewery around a commitment to local sourcing and independence—cultivating hops, malting their own barley, and experimenting with native ingredients.
