Atipico Omaka Pinot Noir 2021

$45.00

Like most great Marlborough Pinot, this comes from clay slopes, in this case in the Omaka Hills of the Southern Valleys. It’s an excellent reminder that in the hunt for great kiwi Pinot, Marlborough is not to be overlooked. There’s lovely density of fruit, silkiness and structure. Hand picked, organic fruit is fermented with 50% whole bunches and just two barrels were made. Get in quick.

While Jordan Hogg's Atipico label is fairly new, he is by no means new to wine growing. He was Young Winemaker of the Year in 2016, and has worked for organic Marlborough icons Seresin and Rock Ferry. Based in a region that could be described as our most commercial, we love that his wines are characterful and indeed atypical.
