Supple and fruitful, this has both a sense of ease and character. Aromatics are forward in cherry, fresh berries with a hint of tomato leaf. The palate is silky soft and sits between light and medium bodied. It’s a blend of indigenous Greek varieties, Xinomavro, Limniona and Mavroudi sourced from selected cool-climate vineyards of Northern Greece.
Established in 2015 by winemaker Nikos Karatzas, Oenops is an exciting project that has found its home in the historic wine region of Drama, Macedonia in the north of Greece. Drawing from his experience in Bordeaux and as head winemaker at Ktima Pavlidis, Nikos champions a philosophy of minimal intervention in the winery. Oenops' primary goal is to highlight Greece's distinct terroirs, cool climates, old vines and indigenous grape varieties.
