The Mount Edward team have done us a solid here, aging this beautiful 2018 Pinot at the estate before release. And the wait is bloody well worth it. It's in such a great drinking window, with those lifted Central Otago fruit aromatics sitting comfortably with the earthy, savoury development that comes with age. The palate has some substance to it, but what we really love is the finesse, balance and freshness that has carried it through the years. 

Mount Edward was established relatively early in the Central Otago wine scene, in 1997. Now with 5 certified organic vineyards in 3 sub regions, Duncan Forsyth and his team’s expressions of these sites have character, depth and purity. Their pioneering spirit prevails, with their playful approach to experimenting (successfully) with different varieties and wine styles. Not only are the wines excellent, these folk are bloody nice people to boot.
