As well as being capable of producing full and structured reds, Cabernet Franc is equally endearing in this light, fragrant style. As well sweet strawberry aromatics, this nicely displays Franc's woody, botanical, tobaccco notes. It's dry and lightly structured. We thoroughly enjoyed it served slightly chilled with some charcuterie. Fruit comes from the Howell Vineyard in Bridge Pa, Hawkes Bay.

Teaming up to make Mica Cabernet Franc are Josephine Perry, creator of the exciting Dormilona wines from Margaret River, and NZ superstar Tamra Kelly - Washington, winemaker for Seresin Estate. Jo and Tamra met doing vintage together in 2001 and have been great mates ever since.
