Finding great value Nebbiolo isn’t easy, it being one of Italy’s most prestigious grape varieties. So we were very happy to have come across this. Fragrant red fruits, cranberry and cherry, and a graphitey undertone, this has satisfying chewiness. Nebbiolo’s much loved savoury tannin comes to the fore on the finish, and especially after a little time in a decanter. 

After his father’s death in 1979, Mauro Molino took over his family vineyards in La Morra, Barolo, having studied winemaking in Alba. Now joined by his son Matteo, the family continues to innovate and produce modern, expressive Piemonte wine styles.
