Lilli Apple & Quince 2022


Pretty aromatics, and juicy freshness, this is a blend of Yarlington Mill and Brown Snout apples with Smyrna Quince from two orchards. The fruit was crushed, pressed and co-fermented in stainless steel before ageing on lees for 9 months. It was bottled without any filtering, fining or additives.

Lilli Ciders are made by winemaking mates Liam Kelleher of Lele wines and Will Lyons-Bowman of Vita Wines. Both based in North Canterbury, they grabbed the opportunity to make cider together. With fruit from 3 Canterbury orchards, they have a similar minimal intervention approach to cider making as they do winemaking.
