Cynar (pronounced Chee-nar) is a bitter Italian liqueur or Amaro known for it's distinct flavour made from a mix of herbs and plants, namely Artichoke leaves from which the liqueur gets it's name*. Bittersweet in flavour, Cynar has a caramel richness and is best enjoyed on the rocks with a slice of orange or with a splash of soda.
