This little gem is from Puglia, at the heel of the boot that is Italy. It’s full of flavours of citrus, pear, tropical fruits and a whiff of the sea. It’s supple to taste, with a crisp and quenching finish. Aptly named ‘Alice’ (meaning Anchovy), it begs for these kind of salty, summery flavours over a long lunch. Verdeca is the grape variety and is grown widely across Puglia.

Produttori di Manduria is the oldest, active cooperative in Puglia, established in 1928. The area is where Primitivo is believed to have originated from, and this cooperative works with growers who sustainably farm smaller vineyards.
