Mas Des Agrunelles Nicot Blanc 2021

$45.00

A blend of Grenache and Marsanne, this is a great way to branch out from your white wine usuals. It’s fruitful, with aromatics of green apple, pear, citrus and white florals. It’s medium bodied, fleshy and has zippy freshness. From their biodynamic vineyards 20 kilometres north west of Montpellier, Frédéric and Stéphanie’s hand harvest fruit from vines grown on clay/limestone soils, and direct press into stainless steel for wild yeast fermentation.

The characterful wines of the Languedoc in the south west of France are well worth exploring, and the wines of Mas des Agrunelles highlight this so well. Based in the communes of Argelliers and Murles, one of the cooler climates of the region, husband and wife Frédéric Porro and Stéphanie Ponson biodynamically farm 25 hectares of vines. They approach vinification with minimal intervention with no fining, filtration and minimal additions of sulphur.
