Dave from Kenzie has had a handle on making great Chardonnay for years, so with his move back to New Zealand, we were excited to hear he’d turned his hand to organically grown Chardonnay from our most prominent region for the variety, Hawke's Bay. And he doesn’t disappoint. This is neatly composed with great finesse. Citrus and stone fruit notes are understated. It has gentle savouriness and texture in the mouth, with a line of freshness that will keep you coming back for more. 

After 15 successful years of winemaking in Australia, Dave MacIntosh is back in New Zealand reconnecting with the place he grew up, Hawkes Bay / Te Matau a Māui. Fruit for his first releases is sourced from 6 organic/sustainable vineyards from across the region. We love Dave’s willingness to challenge convention in terms of wine style, and his deft winemaking touch in delivering wines of vibrancy, energy and freshness.
