This is very satisfying kiwi Chardonnay. There’s a moreish nutty, mealy character, with stone fruit and citrus notes. There’s texture in the palate that is giving but elegant, and it showcases those cool Marlborough nights with a fresh, clean finish. It's clearly Chardonnay made by people who really know what they’re doing. Fruit comes from Seresin's organic, close planted Raupo vineyard in the Omaka Valley. From a season of small yields, fruit was hand harvested, whole bunch pressed and wild yeast fermented in french oak puncheons and barrique for 9 months. 

Michael and Jo Eaton have been instrumental figures in Marlborough’s wine industry since the 1980’s. They established one of this country’s great single vineyards, Clayvin, as well Terra Vin Estate. Working with their sons, Harrison and Blake, Eaton Wines is the culmination of the depth of experience and knowledge they have of the region. These are serious wines that are supremely well balanced, ageable and very very drinkable.
