The team at Clos Henri take Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to the next level, in terms of refinement and expression of place. Their Waimaunga Sauvignon is an expression of wind-blown clay soils. It has beautiful tropical notes to the aromatics, a concentrated richness and juicy acidity.

 Clos Henri was established in the foothills of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley in 2001, but this wine family’s story goes back 10 generations in France. We’ll pick up the story in the 1950’s, when Henri Bourgeois shifted his family's agricultural focus solely to winegrowing, and in particular to the terroir of Sancerre. This is where Sauvignon Blanc is very much at home in the Loire Valley. A couple of generations on and the family recognised how special Marlborough terroir is for the variety, and so Clos Henri was born. They gained full Biogro organic certification in 2013, and are guided by their ethos of creating ‘an oasis of life in Marlborough’.
