Domaine Tempier Bandol Rosé 2024
Very special Bandol rosé that has quietly set the benchmark. Pale copper pink in the glass, this is all about restraint and detail rather than loud fruit. Mourvèdre led, it’s fresh, dry and layered with a savoury undertone. It's rosé that's just as comfortable at the table with food as it is by itself shared with good company.
Domaine Tempier has been farming in Bandol, right on France's Mediterranean coastline, since 1834. It's modern reputation really began in 1936 with Lucie “Lulu” Tempier’s marriage to Lucien Peyraud. Together, they have championed the grape variety Mourvèdre, and played a key role in establishing the Bandol AOC, defining the region’s identity and quality standards. Today, under the stewardship of the Peyraud family and long-time collaborators, Tempier continues to farm organically, work with old vines across multiple terroirs, and champion traditional, low-intervention winemaking that puts place firmly front and centre.
