Windrush Organic Pinot Noir 2019
If you’re still on the fence when it comes to Marlborough Pinot Noir, this one will push you right over. There’s a beautifully dense core of ripe fruit here. The tannins are fine, and there’s detail in this wine’s structure.
The Linklater family learnt the lie of the land from sheep and beef farming in Otago. Questioning the use of chemicals led to their conversion to certified organic farming in the 90s. In purchasing what is now the Windrush vineyard in 2008, it made sense to continue their organic journey in sun-kissed Marlborough. Callum and Sarah Linklater are growers, supplying fruit to other top notch wineries. But luckily for us they keep the best for their own stylish label, Windrush Organic.
