Just for context, South African red wine used to have a reputation for being just stinky, rubbery Pinotage. There’s actually an incredible array of different styles over there, including this delicious, medium bodied blend. Put old vine Cinsault, Grenache and Shiraz in the hands of talented Adi Badenhorst, and the outcome is bright fruited and juicy. Braai (BBQ) your heart out.

After stints at Chateau Angelus, Alain Graillot, Wither Hills and 9 years at Rustenberg, Adi settled in Swartland and now farms with his cousin Hein on their own 60 hectares. AA Badenhorst is now known around the world as being part of an exciting new wave of South African producers.
