Collaboration Ceresia Cabernet Franc 2021
Expressive, bright Cabernet Franc like this such is a treat. Aromatics of both dark and red fruits lead the way to a richly flavoured palate that both dense and supple. There's Franc's famous woody notes on the finish. This wine has immediacy, but will age very well too. Fruit was hand picked from the Apex vineyard in Bridge Pa, Hawkes Bay, and destemmed before a 4 day cold maceration with ferment to follow. It was aged in french oak for two years.
Julianne Brogden tells us exactly what she’s all about in naming her wines Collaboration. It’s the meeting of great Hawkes Bay vineyards and growers, with her deft, winemaking touch. Having gained experience with top notch Californian and Margaret River producers, Julianne returned to New Zealand and began Collaboration in 2010. Her wines are thoughtful interpretations of varieties suited to the Bay; Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Franc.
