Bryterlater Ernest Pinot Noir 2022

$46.00

James from Bryterlater is "chasing Cru Beaujolais" with this brooding, structured style of Pinot. Classic fruit aromatics of cherry are there, with notes of licorice, and a damp earth character. The palate is long and firm with grainy tannins. Get some roast lamb on the go we say.

Nick Drake recorded an ethereal studio album in 1970 called Bryterlater. Ethereal too are James Opie’s Bryterlater releases from North Canterbury. Sourcing organic fruit from vineyards around the region, James produces wines that respect the varied nature of each growing season, and that are produced, as James says, “with patience in the vineyard and patience in the winery.”
