In the face of the 2023 cyclone hitting the east coast, and at the risk of losing their fruit in Hawkes Bay, Amy and Olly called on their friends from Grava in Martinborough for some fruit. And so this wine, Friends Indeed, came about. And friendly it is, with its ripe red orchard fruit aromatics, juicy texture and bright, grapefruity freshness. Martinborough Pinot Noir was blended with a little Hawkes Bay Sangiovese and skin contact Chardonnay.

Amy and Olly Hopkinson-Styles met while Amy was winemaking in Spain, and Olly was writing for Decanter Magazine in London. They were drawn back to New Zealand with Hawkes Bay in mind as a great place to make wine and bring up sprogs.
