This characterful Italian white will be a real summer go-to for us. There’s white flowers and fresh mint aromatics on the nose, with a rich textural palate and nice grip and freshness. From the Castelli di Jesi district in the Marche on the east coast of Italy, organic fruit is fermented and aged on lees in concrete vats for 6 months.
This third generation estate is a leading light in the region. It was started by master cooper Enrico Crognaletti, who passed onto his son Gino, a man dedicated to selecting the best clones of Verdicchio. Now his son Natalino is in charge and, along with biodynamic practices, brings his fresh energy to the estate’s production.
