Poderi Cellario Lafrea Favorita 2023

$35.00

While obscure, the variety Favorita makes for reliably good, fresh, dry Italian drinking. This one has some pretty fruit aromatics, with fleshy pear and stone fruit notes, and a little dry grass complexity. It's dry and taut to taste. All in all, there’s an ease to this that makes it a good all-rounder for those simple meals at home with mates.

Piemonte, in the north west of Italy, is a prestigious and revered region making some very stern, ageworthy wines. So we’re stoked to bring you the wines of Poderi Cellario, that while being true expressions of native Piemonte varieties, also have approachability and a sense of fun. Based in Carrù, in the south west of Langhe, husband and wife Fausto and Cinzia Cellario are the third generation winemakers behind these wines. The farming is organic, the fermentations are with wild yeasts, and the wines are made without filtration or fining, with minimal additions of sulphur.
