Mount Edward Grüner Veltliner 2018

$32.00

This is a great way to get to know Austria’s most important grape variety, Grüner Veltliner. It’s dry, with forward stone fruit and citrus aromatics, medium body, zippy freshness, and Grüner’s signature white peppery spice. Fruit came from Mount Edward’s Morrison Vineyard in Pisa, and this wine is all the better for some bottle age.

Mount Edward was established relatively early in Central Otago in 1997. Now with 5 certified organic vineyards in 3 sub regions, Duncan Forsyth and his team’s expressions of these sites have character, depth and purity. Their pioneering spirit prevails, with their playful approach to experimenting (successfully) with different varieties and wine styles. Not only are the wines excellent, but these folk are bloody nice people to boot.
