Great Riesling is about purity and precision. Case in point, this one shows such a complex range of fruit and florals. These flavours cling to a beautiful line of mineral acidity. It finishes with a gentle sweetness. The fruit for this comes from Framingham’s oldest vines at the front and rear of the winery. Hand picked fruit is whole bunch pressed, with a smidge getting some skin contact, before fermentation in stainless steel and acacia puncheons. Tear into this beauty today, or hold onto it for 10 years….. if you can.

When we think of Framingham, we think of Riesling. They were one of the first to plant it in Marlborough back in 1981 and had Riesling diehard, Dr Andrew Henley at the helm for years. Their certified organic vineyards grow on the alluvial soils at the warm centre of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley.
