Mouvèrdre (otherwise known as Mataro or Monastrell) is often overlooked in a blend. In this wine, it’s the star and plays a brooding, complex character that’s worth getting to know. Dark fruit, spice, hot earth, taut structure, length and firm but fine tannin, this is really something. It's blended with a small amount of Syrah and Grenache, all basking in the sun on the Mediteranean coast.

The Boudau family have been making wine at this 50 hectare estate since the 1920s. Their certified organic vineyards are set on the Mediterranean in the Roussillon, on the border with Spain in the very south west of France.
