A very well crafted curiosity. It's taut and fresh, with lifted citrus and aromatics and a lean 'Chablis-esque' palate. Chardonnay from two vintages is blended together and aged without any oak.

Chateau Barouillet has been a family business going back at least 8 generations. Vincent Alexis works alongside his father and grandfather to cultivate the land in the south west of France. Vincent is the youthful energy that behind the move to certified organic viticulture, and the estate completed this conversion in 2014. The wines are charming and generous.
