Te Kano Kin Pinot Noir 2019
It’s impressive - a Central Otago Pinot Noir under 30 bucks that tastes this good. It’s got the signature silkiness and density of fruit we crave of the region's Pinots, but with liveliness, spice and wild thyme.
Te Kano is a relative newcomer as far as Central Otago wineries go. Having purchased a couple of small vineyards in Bannockburn, the Lloyd family have planted more extensively in Northburn, on the east side of Lake Dunstan. The vineyards are organic or in conversion to organics. Winemaker Dave Sutton’s interpretations of this special part of the world are sophisticated and delicious.
