This is effortless, in the sense that it doesn’t ask much effort of you. It gives a fair bit; bright fruit, supple tannin, freshness and medium body. It’s a blend of local varieties like Raboso, and French varieties like Merlot, but we’re not given too many specifics on that. We won’t over think it. It’s fermented without oak influence, in cement tanks with a wild yeasts, and has minimal added sulphites.  

Marco Barba, the face looking back at you on this bottle, started making his own wine as a result of managing vineyards on behalf of elderly widows in his village. He’s passionate about biodynamics and making wine with minimal intervention from the Veneto, in the north of Italy.
