La Stoppa Trebbiolo Rosso 2018


Trebbiolo Rosso is a blend of Barbera and Bonarda, these varieties were naturally fermented and matured in stainless steel.  The result is a vibrant wine that is packed with sweet red cherries, wafts of spice and farm nostalgia. Its an awesome food wine, best accompanies roast chicken, Mushroom risotto and aged hard cheese. 

This wine comes from the incredible property located in Northern Italy region of Emilia-Romagna. Spanning 58 hectares, 30 of which is planted in vines, the whole 58 hectares is tendered organically. Elena Pantaleoni has run the property since the early 90's where there was a real focus on the land and replanting local varieties. This transfers into the winery where the wines are fermented using natural yeasts and no too low amounts of sulphur.
