La Bohème Patrick Bouju Festejar! Pèt-Nat
We can confirm this is as fun as it looks, dangerously so. As well as bright, red fruits and freshness, there’s viscosity and texture. And being produced from 120 year old Gamay vines, this is serious fun.
Patrick Bouju’s wines have quickly gained cult status in the natural wine scene, and has brought attention to a forgotten wine region in France. Having studied winemaking in Beaune, Patrick settled on the Auvergne, directly west of Lyon, establishing Domaine La Boheme from high altitude vineyards of volcanic soils. Gamay d’Auvergne is the main variety among other forgotten obscurities. He now sources fruit from Alsace, Beaujolais, Languedoc and Greece. The wines are organically grown and bottled without sulphites.
Organic, unfined, unfiltered, no additives
